Scottish Championship 1911

The twenty-eighth annual Congress of the Scottish Chess Association was held at Glasgow from April 14 th to 18 th . An entry of eight strong players was obtained for the Championship, in which Mr. J.A. McKee wrested the title from Mr. G.W. Richmond by the margin of half a point. Mr. A.P.T. Kerr, who defeated Mr. Richmond in his game with th ex-champion, finished close up third, and Mr. Gibson, a previous holder of the Championship, was fourth.
