Spens Cup 1955
The Spens Cup, open to all chess clubs in Scotland except the eight who contest the Richardson Cup, was won on saturday by Polytechnic, who are promoted to next season's Richardson competition, with a 4½-2½ win in the final round against Central. Both are Glasgow clubs and former winners of the Spens and Richardson trophies.
