Richardson Cup 1996-1997
Main Tournament
Crowwood CC , a team which included several former representatives of Paisley CC,
win the Richardson for the first time, while the subject of their previous loyalty
are relegated only three years after their last win of the trophy, never to reappear.
Former holders Wandering Dragons return with a maximum win but go no further,beaten by
Edinburgh West who go on to reach their first final. Two rounds are held before
Christmas (also in 1997-98) to assist in accommodating the link to the BCF National Club
Championship.
