Richardson Cup 1962-1963

Main Tournament

Glasgow CC achieve the ultimate Richardson Cup final result by whitewashing Edinburgh to record the largest ever margin of victory in a final with all boards being contested, and commence their record streak of 5 successive wins of the trophy.

Clackmannan County become the first club new to the Richardson since the war to reach the semi finals, albeit not in their inaugural season in the competition.

In the relegation tournament, newly promoted Ardrossan plus Falkirk drop out although the latter subsequently retain their place following a playoff in the next season after the withdrawal of Spens Cup runners-up Knightswood.
