About the Calendar

The Membership Secretary is responsible for maintaining the calendar on the Chess Scotland website. All changes/questions/issues should be emailed to Chess Scotland Membership

CALENDAR PAGE

The calendar page displays information for all events notified to take place during the next 12 months and enables players to download entry forms (PDF format wherever possible). The calendar page also enables players to open/download dates and contact details of organisers.  These contact detail files are available in rtf format.

HOME PAGE

On the right hand side of the home page there are two lists.  One list for Adult and one for Junior events. These lists provide additional publicity for events and provide quick easy access to the relevant section of the main calendar page.

NOTIFYING AN EVENT

Where an event organiser wishes to notify the Membership Secretary of an event before the entry form has been finalised, the following information should provided:

• Name of event
• Start Date
• End Date
• Pnum of Organiser
• Comments
• Web Site URL (where relevant)

When the entry form has been finalised, it should be sent in either Word or PDF format as an email attachment.

The Membership Secretary should be advised whether an event has Junior as well as Adult tournaments.
