At the bottom of the table, with only one relegation place, East Kilbride, who have struggled all season but who have had some close contests with fellow relegation candidates, lost to Bothwell in their critical match and so take the drop. In an interesting statistical note, Glasgow Montrose C and Knight Moves , with different W-L-D records had the same number of game and match points. 27 March Comment Inverclyde have easily tied up the title here with a match to spare and will be joined in division 2 by the winner of the delayed Holy Cross - Knightswood match itself a rarity on the calendar. At the bottom, division 4 beckons for one of the Lanarkshire duo of Bothwell and EK, in all probability whoever loses their last round encounter. 23 February Comment Inverclyde continue to power ahead here, and will shortly reclaim their place in division 2. There's a close contest behind them for second place, with 4 clubs still in the running, although Cumbernauld lost some ground by being on the receiving end of a 7:1 thrashing by Knightswood. With the carrot of a place in division 2 possibly being at stake, an unusual occurence may take place in this division - a scheduled match between Knightswood and Holy Cross may actually take place - although it has already been postponed ! At the other end, three sides remain without a win, and look as though they are the main relegation candidates. 8 December Comment Inverclyde have started well here and are the favourites for the title and a swift return to division 2. Knight Moves A are also a strong side, but with a venue which closes early are playing all there matches away which must be a disadvantage. Of note is that 5 of the 12 results so far have been draws.
