"A beginner's guide" is an instruction course prepared by Alex McFarlane to help school club organsiers teach chess. The guide contains teachers' notes, pupil worksheets and answers and a Powerpoint based presentation.

The material is too large to download but you can get a CD containing the complete course by e-mailing schools@chessscotland and asking for the beginer's guide CD. There is no charge.
