Certainly. Chess Scotland has publications to help the teacher, including a downloadable Word document on how to organise chess in schools (links to more documents can be found on the Schools Home Page).   Or you can email us and we will be happy to give to a personal reply

Are there any Inter-School Tournaments?
Yes, Chess Scotland organises tournaments for both Primary and Secondary teams.   CS organises the Scottish Schools Team Championship and the Scottish Primary Schools Team Championship, and more events are available at all levels.   Full details available from the Schools Home Page.

PROCEDURAL ISSUES

Do you have a policy for working with children?
Yes, we review our policies regularly in this respect, and in fact have recently updated our Child Protection policies in consultation with other agencies involved with schoolchildren.
