George Heriots School in Edinburgh are the 2004 Scottish Schools Team Chess Champions.

They defeated Robert Gordon's College, Aberdeen by the narrowest of tie break margins in the final on 21st June. Full report by Heriots captain Hugh Brechin click here.


11 year old Connor Woods from St Edward's Primary school (Airdrie) is the Scottish Primary Individual Champion for 2004, winning with a 100% score. Runner up was Jonathan Wright (Robert Gordons) with 5. Click here for more, now with Connor's thoughts on the event.

South Morningside A has won the Scottish Primary Team Championship in a closely contested final. Click here for results.

Scottish P5 and under Individual Championship - Kirill Mikhaylov is the 2004 Champion, with 4.5 out of 5, half a point ahead of Stuart MacQueen [runner up on tie break], Ali Roy, Jonathan Wright, Calum McDonald. For a fuller report click here
