Senior Chess

Chess truly is a game that can be played competitively from "cradle to grave" with many GMs and IMs maintaining high level play into their 60s and 70s, just look at Viktor Kortschnoj! Separate senior international events have started to grow in popularity and with strong players such as FM Peter Jamieson expressing interest it is likely that we will increasingly see Chess Scotland represented at senior events. Changes will be made to the Chess Scotland membership process to capture date of birth on renewal in order to ensure that eligibility for senior events is established.
