Scottish Championship 1933

compiled by Alan McGowan

The Scottish Championship [the 46 th Edinburgh ] resulted in a win for W.A. Fairhurst, who won all his six games. Although this result was expected, he is to be heartily congratulated on his achievement. G. Page came second with 4 points. The remaining 5 entrants were younger men, but their chess was good, and gives promise of great improvement. J.M. Aitken, who was third, played in the Oxford University team, and R.F. Combe attended the B.C.F. Congress in London last year.
