Scottish Championship 1929

The annual Congress of the Scottish Chess Association [ the 42 nd ] commenced on December 28 th [1928] at the Athenaeum, Glasgow . The championship was won by W. Gibson, for the seventh time in his career. Dr. R.C. Macdonald, the holder, was out of form, but J.K. Harris secured second place with a score of 7, only half a point behind the winner. J.A. McKee was third, while J. Gilchrist and H.N. Walsworth both played well.
