Scottish Championship 1915

compiled by Alan McGowan

The thirty-second annual congress of the Scottish Chess Association was held in Glasgow between December 31 st, 1914, and January 4th, 1915, when the championship secured an excellent entry, including W. Gibson, the holder, and two ex-champions, J.A. McKee and J. Borthwick. The result was a triple tie, in which none of these three had a place—the joint-victors being H.K. Handasyde and P. Wenman, of Edinburgh, and C. Wardhaugh, of Glasgow; Gibson being, however, only a ½ point behind.

On the tie being played-off, the championship was secured for the year by Wardhaugh.
