Have manged to connect to internnet at hotel using the wifi hotspot on my mobile phone and Kirstys ipad. Costing a fortune though. Kids have prepared for todays games using info sent by Derek - thank you for all of your help Derek =) Hoping to get a better result today. It is very hot here and there is no air-conditioning even in the playiing hall. Our kids are struggling with the heat (as are us old folks ;P ) However all are very positive and looking forwards to todays games.

Thanks MIke

We had a draw for Robert yesterday but losses for Stuart, Andrew and KIrsty. All 4 played for around 3 hours. Kirsty is struggling badly with her end game - every game she has played has been for over 2 and a half hours and her game seems to be even until the end game where she makes a blunder. Andrew just cannot get a win and he was really dispirited yesterday. A big thank you to Andrew Green for speaking with Andrew last night and for helping him regain some confidence. Not being a chess player I can't really comment on the games themselves.

It's another hot hot day here. The kids have finished their prep (thanks again Derek) and are relaxing with the 3 lads from the Welsh delegation. Once again they are all upbeat about their games today........fingers crossed =)

Round 5 just started. It's like a home international today with Stuart having an Irish opponent, Kirsty and Robert both playing an English opponent and Andrew Welsh.

Draw for Stuart yesterday and losses for Robert, Kirsty and Andrew Sad

The battle with the heat and the mosquitoes continues. It was 38 degrees yesterday and feels even hotter today.
