Today, the event will be end following the end of Round 7.

Championship finishes by round 7

In connection with the current development of the situation in Europe, the government of the Czech Republic and the National Security Council have declared preventive measures against spread of the coronavirus. As per the decision of the government and the National Security Council, which came in force on Tuesday 10th March, 2020, all cultural, sport, and social events with above 100 participants are banned.

The resolution for WSTCC 2020:


The tournament [b]finishes by 7th round on 12th March 2020[/b].


[b]Final ceremony[/b] is moved to 12th March 2020, 10pm. [b]Only the winners of each category will be allowed to participate.[/b]


Transfers announced for Sunday 15th March will be made without any changes.
Transfers on 13th March can be discussed upon request at the infocentre of the TRISTAR hotel (65+ hall).

Keti did not travel, was unwell (not covid19).

Peter was also under the weather recovering from a persistent cold. However he returned for what tuned out to be the 7th and final round and won. 

The over 50s Team 1 were unfortunate to have very tough opposition in the 6th and 7th rounds.
Over 50s Team 2 finished above seeding.

The over 65s finished strongly and should also be above seeding.

Congratulations to our teams in Prague with some outstanding team and individual performances - some very enjoyable live games to watch ?. Pity the events have been curtailed, but entirely understandable.
