Craig P @ The Larsen's Memorial
#1
So Craig is in Aalborg once again.

Can follow on live boards - http://www.liveskak.dk/2016/aalborg/lars.../index.htm
Start time 11am every day, not sure if Whisky or Lego time? Last round is Friday.

RND 1 on Saturday saw him beat a 1975 Norwegian.
RND 2 on Sunday saw him draw with a 2100 Israeli.
RND 3 on Monday (today) saw him win v local chap Per Holst.

* There was a tech issue with Rnd 2 live boards, but the organisers expect to have the games added soon.

So 2½ / 3 with a game against another local 2200 this time in RND 4 tomorrow (Tuesday).

Am sure Craig will be delighted to see his missing Rnd 2 game being posted Smile His comments on it were "In round two I made a terrible error allowing a knight fork winning a pawn ... fortunately I retained some slim chances and my opponent, a 15 year-old Icelander living in Denmark, cravenly offered a draw that I couldn't refuse! Awful game after I played a good opening and had much the better game."

Craig won what was an exciting RND 5 game today v a Dutch FM. On 4/5 now with 4 other titled players, and GM Vladimir Okhotnik of France is in the lead with 4½/5. (I think he won it last time if memory is right?)

The live boards have been reliable but Craig’s game unfortunately did get stuck at move 24 today, but they have now fixed it and can play through it all. I also enjoyed watching Bjarne Light’s game v GM Legky on board 3 today with 2 opposite side *passed* rook pawns. Worth a wee look.

Is all nicely set up for an exciting finish in the final 2 rounds, good luck to Craig.
