Thanks for publicising George as it would have passed me by. It is a fascinating article by Alan and I notice Ian Marks also gets a mention.

Playing in a café is enjoyable as I experienced last year when visiting Luxembourg for the Tim Upton memorial event.


Which clubs in Scotland have (or had) anything comparable?

I am glad someone found the article, and glad that it was enjoyed.

Scotland's equivalent is the number of Glasgow clubs that used tea rooms and restaurants as their playing venues and I am planning to write something about this history-late 19th century and early 20th century. Alan
