21st World Senior Championship
#1
Good luck to our two representatives in this prestigious event. It will be tough, but I hope they both achieve their goals.

I have a feeling that Craig might do well in this tournament and whilst his first round win was expected it's still nice to get that point on the board.

I hope both he and Philip have a succesful tournament.

Looks like Craig's on a live board tomorrow.

Looking forward to Craig's live game tomorrow. He's at a grading disadvantage but has the advantage of white. Should be interesting. His round 1 game is below.

That's a very smooth win indeed. Live games didn't seem to be working too well yesterday, hopefully today will be better.

Is this going to be a repetition?

Apparently not. Sorry, I've got the things on the brain after the European Club Cup. Buy December's Scottish Chess for the full sensational story.

Craig must be doing quite well here, on further reflection.

At what point did you make that assessment Hugh? :-)

Didn't exactly cover myself in glory there did I. After 25. Rd4 - pretty sure I misassessed. I think Craig had a draw with 25.Na5-c4-a5-c4, which with hindsight he could perhaps have taken.

Another brilliant achievement by Craig to win the 1st Blitz Tournament at the very strong World Seniors last evening - and by a convincing margin!
