I would like to be good at chess because I want to beat my dad at chess and I want to be able to use the three chess sets I have got.  I also want to get better at my maths work and I want to be able to use my computer properly.              Louise, P6.

I would like to be good at chess because it helps to make you better at maths and you would get lots of different logic skills.  I would also like to play in lots of tournaments and win them.                                                                       Erin, P7.

I would like to be good at chess because it is a very good game and it’s very logical.  If you’re good at chess you get to go to tournaments and challenges.       Alana, P7.
