Hi, I'm Amy the site manager. I have been asked to set up this web page for the chess playing juniors in Scotland.  In here you will find the chess calendar, congress news and reviews, lists of "junior-friendly" chess clubs, links to other important websites, best junior games and fun chess-related games. You will also have the chance to give your views on any chess related matter.  I've set up the website, now it's up to you to provide the content!

If you have any suggestions for the site, or see anything wrong with it (eg. links not working) please don't hesitate to email me at amy_sitemanager@yahoo.co.uk.

Internet Coaching

The Youth Squad members have embarked on a new project involving internet coaching.  Many of us have been having internet coaching for a while now, but this project is run by the Youth Squad coaches and directed at the members as a group.  We have had two sessions now, both by Stephen Mannion ably assisted by Jacob Aagaard and they have proved to be very interesting and informative.  The kibitzing between the members has also been very interesting and I learned the meaning of the word “horsed”!!  If any Youth Squad members are interested or you would like to find out more about Chess Scotland’s Youth Squad contact Donna Officer.
