Before the first round
This year we had Ivan, Andrew,
Calum and Connor in the boys’ team
The girls’ team had Amy
and Lynsey……………..
………although there was a
degree of flexibility!!
 
Long, hard games of
chess………
 
 
 
   
but plenty of time for socialising……..
 
 
 
 
Finding time to sleep became
quite important!
 
 
Esben, however, kept hard at work!
The hotel and surroundings
were interesting………
 
 
 
…but good company and lots
of chat was the best!
 
 
 
Thanks to Esben for being a great coach – we all learned a lot!
Thanks to Donna for once
again accompanying the group, looking after us and giving us curfews!
Thanks to Peter for the
jokes, the good music during prep and very welcome company.
Also thanks to Claire, the
Scottish roadie who made sure we didn’t do too much chess!!
Last of all thanks to the
rest of the team – the chat was fantastic and I’m proud to announce that I am
now officially one of the ‘boys’.
Let us not forget that this
was Ivan’s last full international – we’re gonna
miss you dude, make sure you tag along sometime!
