Chess Scotland President's Awards

 

“President's Awards” are made periodically to people who have made a meritorious contribution to Chess in Scotland – I hope to conclude my term of office with the presentation of about three awards at this year's Chess Scotland AGM , and I now ask for nominations for the 2009 awards.

The rules are as follows:

•  Any member of Chess Scotland may make one or more nominations.

•  The person nominated will have made a significant contribution to chess in Scotland , probably (but not necessarily) over many years.

•  The person nominated does not have to be a member of Chess Scotland.

•  The person nominated must be aware that he/she has been nominated, and must have agreed to be nominated.

The nomination should contain a brief statement of why the person nominated deserves to be considered for an award, and should include confirmation that the person has consented to be nominated.

The closing date for nominations is Saturday 20 June 2009 .
