December 13, 2007: Chessbase will continue to offer free access to the Playchess server to Chess Scotland members throughout 2008.

Chessbase, sponsors of the Grand Prix, offer Chess Scotland (CS) members a chance to play chess live on the internet free of charge!

Any CS member can download the playchess.com software and create an account which will allow them to play internet chess against any other user of the playchess.com software. While the offer lasts Chessbase will give every CS member a no obligation account.

Access to this facility requires that you download and install software on your PC. The above email will provide a link to the download.

After downloading, please run the installation software and create a user name and password for your account.
