CREDIT CRUNCH SEMINARS PRESENT…
Grandmaster and 2007 British Champion
JACOB AAGAARD
“When an Irresistible Force Meets an Immovable Object”
August 27 to August 30, 2009
Grandmaster Jacob Aagaard won the British Championships in 2007, runs the highly respected Quality Chess Publishing business and has written a string of critically acclaimed books on how to improve one's chess. A deep thinker with many years training experience, Jacob is a speaker not to be missed.
This series of talks examine many fundamental questions about chess, including: What is chess style and what does it consist of? What are the various areas of chess and how does one study them? Is it necessary to be an all-round player?
Refreshments will be provided free of charge and there will be a meal on the Saturday evening at a local restaurant (alas, not free of charge) at which you will be able to pick Jacob's brains in a more informal setting.
The seminars will be held at the Quality Chess offices at 93 Hope Street ( Suite 45 , Mezzanine), Glasgow. This is in the very heart of the city only a few minutes walk from Glasgow Central train station. The schedule is:
Thursday August 27 7pm-10pm
Friday August 28 7pm-10pm
Saturday August 29 2pm-6pm
