A Blitz tournament was also held, winner was Marin with 7/7 in front of
Aagaard 6/7.

I have highlighted the most important moments.

INTRO: The main event will be a four-player knockout tournament with GM's Colin McNab and Mihail Marin , IM Sabino Brunello and Scottish Champion Jonathan Grant . The tournament will consist of mini-matches consisting of two 2x 25+10 rapid Games Saturday and two Sunday. In the case of a 1-1 draw two blitz games will be played to decide the winner. If the score is still tied, another two and so forth.

On the Saturday the matches will be Grant-Marin and McNab-Brunello, with the first player mentioned having White in games 1, 4, 5, 8 and so on.

All spectators are welcome.

On the Sunday there will be a fight both for the first, second and third prize.

Furthermore there will be a blitz tournament on the Saturday with a 100-pound prize fund guaranteed (with grading prices). The entry fee will be 5 pounds.

On the Sunday, after the finish of the games, there will be a reception and prize giving where it is possible that the participants will go through a game or two from the tournament.
